I'm guessing Western Foods has a pretty good profit margin
on the operation.
The big bonus to them with having volunteer groups man the
concession stands is they don't have any human resource
costs for what are essentially part time jobs. Payrol is,

Nah, the work was hard enough without putting up with that schmuck.
Fun was listening to the more senior members of the group comment on how
much popcorn was sold during the Stones concert. I don't think they
recognized the smell of the exotic "tobacco" that filled that stadium that
night

Granted it was done for the group, not for western foods. However even the
love of the group only goes so far and eventually you have to look at the
energy expended vs the return and realized that too much expended for little
return tends to turn people off in the long run.
We learned we could raise the same amount with three weekends for lawn

If you are doing the concession thing, you are doing it for
the love of the group you are doing it for.
And compared with some of the stuff I've done over the
years-- bingos and pancake suppers for example--$3.25 is
probably pretty lucrative. Though some of the choir

You should have had Yads working there and preaching to all the drunks
about the evils of alcohol.
*That* would keep them away.

No actually you didn't have time to scope out anything, and spent more time
dealing with drunks who wanted empty cups

"Sucks" doesn't even begin to describe it. I wonder how the crowd will
react as they come onto the field come Friday night? On the OTHER hand, do
not the Eskimos have one of the over-all finest records in the CFL? If we
had to wait as long as most OTHER teams for a Grey Cup win or even for a
SECOND Grey Cup ring, we Eskimo fans would probably be storming the field by
