- Re: Memorial Day Weekend on cable?
It's just an example. The basic cable plan of our last provider
(Charter) included everything from NASA to IFC for $55/mo.
Comcast is charging about the same and provides none of these
channels.

Thanks, even though there are fewer marathons I want to watch listed
there than I've ever seen. Glad we're making our own. :)
- Re: Memorial Day Weekend on cable?
Here's a partial list of today's marathons:
A&E Parking Wars
BBCA Dr. Who
Bravo Real Housewives of New York City
Comedy Central Tosh.O
Discovery Perfect Catch
Disney Hannah Montana
HBO2 The Pacific (parts 1-5)
- Re: Memorial Day Weekend on cable?
I was hoping for a sweet Mythbusters marathon, but got Deadliest Catch
instead. : (

I noticed History is playing that wretched "America, the Story of Us"
all day. They botched a good opportunity with that one.
- Re: Memorial Day Weekend on cable?
As a kid (in the 1970's) we had more good programs to watch
on 12 channels than we have on 200+ channels today. The
medium has decayed to the point of absurdity, and meanwhile
Comcast has been busy surgically removing all channels worth
watching from their lower-end digital packages. When it gets
to the point where HGTV is a fucking premium channel it's time
- Re: Memorial Day Weekend on cable?
I agree
I would like to think that as the Broadcasting Media moves forward,
progression in programming would ADD to the pool of programming that one
can watch on cable. But it seems the studios have locked up all the old
programming for some unknown reason. My only guess is the studios would
rather have you watch the CRAP programming that they sell to networks at
- Memorial Day Weekend on cable?
Nothing of note. There's an iCarly marathon on Sunday (NIK) that I'd
probably watch, but that's about it. A whole lotta nada.
No wonder I don't pay for cable. $65 a month and very little return
on the investment.

Hi All,
Hope this is not a repeat question and someone can help.
I just installed a cable distribution system in a large house with
about 8 TV's using a DA (Chanel Plus DA-550BID Linear Corp) which has
a cable input and modulation input to distribute a closed circuit TV
camera feed I placed on channel 77.

A months ago I decided to take the plunge and get myself Satellite TV
for my PC.I really think it's the way forward. I can see everything
being based around the internet. Soon we want even need phones in our
